Now through the beginning of December is the time to plant bulbs for the spring flowering. Just remember to keep your tulips and hyacinths in the refrigerator. They don't get planted until late December through the beginning of January.

Late October Vegetables
Do you want to plant a vegetable garden or are you looking to add vegetables to your existing garden?
In South Louisiana, we can plant year round. Here is a listing of what to plant in the near future.
Late October: beets, broccoli (transplants), cabbage, carrots, celery, collards, garlic, kale, leaf lettuce, onions, parsley, radishes, shallots, Swiss chard and turnips.
Early November: beets and garlic
